Meisha Strykowski, founder and creative director of Cocolux explains: “The idea for Cocolux came as I expected with my second child. I was addicted to scented candles and pillows, which I was secretly stocking up without my husband's knowledge. It was then that I started looking at the composition of the candles I burned and discovered that paraffin wax was a by-product of hydrogenated petroleum. I also learned about the significant deforestation associated with soybean and palm production and decided to come up with a sustainable, all-natural alternative. It has taken a year of trial and error in my kitchen to develop the pure coconut wax for our candles. ”
